Casa Arabe presents this co-production by San Telmo Museoa and Es Baluard Museu D’Art Modern i Contemporani, an exhibition where ten women artists show landscapes, urban and social environments in countries destroyed and impoverished by wars, the post-colonial inheritance, terrorism, violence and local, political and religious struggle.
The women artists coming from Afghanistan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Lebanon, Morocco and Palestine have different histories, but they have all witnessed forced migrations, exile, war refugee and foreigner status. They reflect these usurped lands, looted goods and places through sculptures, videos, installations and photographs. The exhibition is curated by Piedad Solans.
